JAMASummit^â„¢ is an initiative of С槼ºÖ±²¥ and the С槼ºÖ±²¥ Network that convenes leaders from across sectors and around the world to discuss and debate critical issues in medicine, health, and health care.

The goals of the С槼ºÖ±²¥ Summit are twofold: to host thought leaders from various sectors to discuss and debate the topic of interest with the goal of identifying actionable steps with immediate positive impact, and to catalyze broader discussion prompted by themes that emerge from these convenings through publications and multimedia in С槼ºÖ±²¥ and the journals of the С槼ºÖ±²¥ Network.

The inaugural С槼ºÖ±²¥ Summit was held in Chicago on October 10-11, 2023, and focused on clinical trials, the foundation of evidence-based medicine, addressing the provocative questions: Is the Clinical Trials Enterprise Broken? And How Can It Be Fixed? A global group of 65 invited clinical researchers, funders, regulators, policymakers, innovators, and industry representatives dissected and debated the challenges of and potential solutions for the clinical trials enterprise. The conversation will continue in С槼ºÖ±²¥ through forthcoming publications and multimedia.

The next С槼ºÖ±²¥ Summit will be held in fall 2024 with a focus on artificial intelligence and the opportunities and challenges faced for the integration into clinical practice. Like the first, this Summit will begin with a hosted meeting of AI leaders and stakeholders focused on robust discussion and debate. Similarly, themes discussed at the in-person gathering will be published subsequently in С槼ºÖ±²¥ with the goal of advancing the discussion.

We aim to expand the С槼ºÖ±²¥ Summit series in the coming years to address a broad spectrum of challenges and engage a broader audience through a variety of meeting formats. To learn more about С槼ºÖ±²¥ Summit, read the Editorial.
